Usra Hussain is a Partner at Bedoya & Hussain Law Firm, LLC. She is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey and concentrates her practice on the defense of New York Workers’ Compensation matters.

Usra frequently appears on behalf of insurance companies and self-insured employers before the New York Workers’ Compensation Board. Usra also has an extensive understanding and practical knowledge in Workers’ Compensation Appellate practice. Usra regularly appears for trials, hearings and depositions.

During law school, Usra served as a judicial clerk for an acting Justice of the Rockland County Supreme Court in the 9th Judicial District of New York. Usra was also a student attorney with the Passaic County Office of Public Defenders where she argued bail motions and violations of probation along with assisting in general trial preparation. Usra was also a legal intern in the New York State Office of the Attorney General where she drafted Article 78 proceedings in New York State Supreme Court along with a number of additional legal responsibilities.

Following law school, Usra worked for an insurance defense firm where she handled various workers’ compensation cases. In addition to her experience in New York Workers’ Compensation, Usra also focuses her practice on various immigration matters for the firm’s current clients and has aided individuals with filings for asylum, Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and work permits.
