Senior Associate

Christofer Merritt is an Associate Attorney at Bedoya & Hussain Law Firm, LLC and concentrates his practice on New York Workers’ Compensation Defense. Christofer is licensed to practice in the State of New York, State of New Jersey, as well as the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, and the United States District Court of the State of New Jersey.

Christofer received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Virginia Tech and his law degree from Western New England University. During law school Christofer was selected to participate in a Real Estate Practicum where he split time between a working under the general counsel for a title insurance company and for a small real estate firm in Springfield, Massachusetts. He also was selected for a Small Business Clinic where he worked with three local entrepreneurs who could not otherwise afford representation to help start their business and maintain compliance will all applicable statutes.

Prior to joining the firm, Christofer worked for various firms obtaining experience as both a plaintiff and defense attorney. His prior experience included general liability claims, workers’ compensation, FDCPA and FCRA complaints, and ADA compliance. Christofer regularly appears in New York Workers’ Compensation courts to defend employers and carriers. He attends trials, hearings, and depositions to obtain favorable outcomes for his clients.
