Katherine Buynak is an Associate Attorney at Bedoya & Hussain Law Firm, LLC and concentrates her practice on New York Workers’ Compensation Defense and Immigration Law. Katherine is licensed to practice law in the State of New York.

Katherine received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Furman University and obtained her Juris Doctorate from Syracuse University College of Law. While in law school, Katherine participated in the Children’s Rights and Family Law Clinic as a student attorney where she represented low-income clients in a variety of family law matters. In her last year of law school, Katherine became a certified New York State Family Law Mediator, primarily focusing on issues relating to custody and visitation.

Prior to joining the firm, Katherine worked for a general practice law firm in South Carolina, where she was involved with their criminal defense practice. Additionally, Katherine worked in London, England where she focused her efforts on domestic and international corporate and financial crime.

Katherine regularly appears in New York Workers’ Compensation courts to defend employers and carriers. She attends trials, hearings, and depositions to obtain favorable outcomes for her clients.
